Steven Universe: Presents a good-hearted, lovable chracter whose ideals drive her to actions that the compassionate, innocent protagonist believes are wrong. Shows how she was hurt by Rose’s actions, but also gives us plenty of room to understand why Rose had to bubble her and hide her away. Presents the morally complex problem of using excessive force in a just cause well, in terms that children can understand.
